I'm waiting on an Amazon delivery because I broke a part on the dang chainsaw . While I'm waiting, I think I'll cruise over to Craigslist and find a landscaper I can hire on Monday... after I win the lottery

You all have a great chance at the winning ticket.
Apparently Nevada doesn’t allow lotto sales.

Er, that's what I'm doing, and I never won any lottery, but retirement works!
Wait, a couple of years ago there was an over 500 million dollar lottery that I bought a ticket for & Won! Unfortunately, I only had the Mega # without any of the others. Got $4.00, but it was fun calling my friends the next day saying I won the MegaMillions.

Dang, I forgot! I did stop at a convenience store for a snack but I forgot the lottery ticket. Too busy flirting with the checkout girl. Gotta stop that..

Bought a Lotto Max ticket a while ago. It did nothing but make me angry and raise my blood pressure. Week after week I won a "free" ticket and so I had to redeem it. It was a relief when I finally "won" nothing.

Golf does the same thing to me, which is why I don't play anymore.

When I realized I could usually throw my club farther than I could drive the ball in a straight line I finally sold them. One of my best decisions in retrospect

I never tried to play golf:
1. It looks hard. It does.
2. A coworker cautioned me that I shouldn't take up golf because of my "anger issues" as he put it. Hmm.
So I took his advice.

It can be frustrating, but I love it. I think it's probably the greatest game ever, because nobody, not even a tour pro, can master it. It does however reveal things about yourself that you may not have been aware of otherwise - maybe because there's no opponent but the course. But, that doesn't stop folks from blaming a bad round on all sorts of things.
Hey, now there's an idea on how to spend the lottery winnings. Buy a golf course!

There's always the leftie loaner set in the clubhouse.

Tickets
I rarely buy any tickets. Might have bought a
Couple last fall. However I bought two about a month ago. A week later I had the lady at the counter read them. Whoohoo, the machine chirped. My heart stopped. You won $4 she said. Hmmmmm what to do with all that money ( my chance to recover my investmen). Possessed by every weakness, that makes a man a fool, as the song says, I reinvested in two more tickets, it’s the American way after all. Next drawing no winners. Ok I get it, not to be. Back to picking up nickel cans along the highway. No ticket for tonight and no plans to buy more.

Investing in a golf course, now there’s a moneymaker. Reminds me of a kid I used to
work with. I said if you win the lottery for ten million what are you going to do with the money. He said “that much would let my dad and me farm ten more years.”
Rimshot please

The opponent is myself, not the course.

Back in the 1970s my dad leased a tract of land southwest of Milton to run cattle on. Later the land was developed into a golf course. It didn't look like a normal golf course-- they built these little hills everywhere. Someone told me what kind of course it was, but I forgot. Anyway, the course went bankrupt, the clubhouse sat vacant for years, and you can't do anything with the land due to the stupid little hills all over it. Well, you could run cows on it.

The world changed. Golf didn’t and in some
cases couldn’t. Mainly, current society does not want to tie up 5 hour blocks of time to play 18 on a par 72 course. The social, walking exercise, coordination skills values cannot be argued, perhaps it will come back.municipal courses in my home town (4) courses, are down from a high of 229,000 Rounds in 1989 to about 55% of that now. But costs go on and disposable income has a lot more competition for the recreation buck than it did 30 years ago. My son in law Todd is a millennial. Both he and my daughter play. He’s an excellent golfer and will be at the Masters for the practice rounds again this year. Nobody else in our family golfs. I oversaw four courses but never played the game. Had great people working for me for the most part.
