Guess we made it home in time to use the snow blower once this year, knew we should have stayed south longer.

I bought myself a new snowblower back in late November 2016
Unfortunately we never got enough snow at one time to warrant its' use. All we keep getting are the 2" or 3" or 4 " variety snow falls which are just as easy to shovel .
Jim , I am highly envious of your good fortune , enjoy the snow .
All we got was a couple of lousy days of below zero weather.

Hi: cpaharley2008... I sure am glad that the NWS shows nothing above Cleveland, because that's exactly what we got...NOTHING!!! I did brace for the cold by winterizing again though. Alf

Not to rub it in, but it was in the 90°F yesterday, 91°F predicted for today here in Parker, AZ. I'll start back to the East (slowly over a month) tomorrow, so you better get that weather under control!

Hi: Vermilye... Take all the time you need eastbound. Don't forget to turn left in Albuquerque. You know you can't "Fool Mother Nature". Alf

Jon, I am very sorry to hear of your suffering. Hopefully things turn for the better soon.

If the only two choices are 90 Deg above zero ( Arizona) or 5 below zero ( NW Wisconsin) , I'll choose the 5 below every time.
You have my sympathy for having to suffer in that unbearable heat. I would advise heading North before you suffer any long term or permanent damage.

The nice thing about areas like AZ and CA that can get into the 100°'s, we can climb to the altitude appropriate to our temperature liking. E.G. Last November 1, it was 102° in Bishop; so we drove up to a campsite at 8300 ft., where it was 75° (and plenty of trout 25 ft. away in the creek ).

90 here in Az is beautiful. My son set a PR yesterday in the mile and the 800 in the afternoon, and none of the athletes were complaining about it being hot.
I was up in the White Mountains all last week and it was absolutely stunning weather. Mid 60's day and 40's at night.

We're getting a dusting of snow right now and 3 years of a new snowblower sitting idle. I guess having it keeps the snow away. Loren

Is it not interesting where we can discuss what is happening outside our homes and each one of us is experiencing something different...

While I can reluctantly accept your cold weather desires, I spent the last 50 years in upstate NY where we get between 150" & 200" of snow every winter, including 2 one week storms that dumped over 12' of snow before it ended. The last time I spent February in Oswego, I had to shovel 4' of snow off my roof.
I'll put up with a couple of 90°F days to avoid all that, and will be headed for cooler weather tomorrow. Besides, as everyone knows, it is "Dry Heat!"

and when you have dry heat, the nights are cool. I remember my first experience with dry heat at Sturgis, SD where everyone said to bring a blanket for the cold and I was thinking cold, it is in August. Well it did get 103 while I was there but compared to 95 and 100% humidity it was not too bad, but at night I froze when dropped to the 50's.

Snow?
We haven't had hardly any snow this winter. We had a few rains and no ice to speak of. My Toro blower is at the ready and I plugged the New Holland in this morning and
Started it up And Let it run a while. Winter on the prairie can be boring. Had to go
To a concert at the theatre last Sunday and played with my fishing tackle this week. Cmon spring.
