Anyone tried the RVLock combination door lock ?
Been seeing ads on the replacement door latch that is a combination lock with a key backup. Battery operated and with a remote. Anyone tried it ? Wife wants one for our 17b. Not a must for me.....but you know how it is !
Thanks.

We replaced our Escape door lock with a push button combination lock from RV lock
Works well I change the batteries out every spring
Watch for the lock to go on sale - you will save yourself a considerable amount of $ on the lock , fobs and spare keys

We have the combination lock Escape Industries sells. I like it.
It do thinks it's weird that it only throws the dead bolt and not the door handle lock.
If I am going to be gone for awhile, I lock the door handle lock with a key as well.

There are two RV Lock threads that could be combined. The link is on the other thread.

I have had one for a few years now. We like it. No need to carry any keys with us.

That's kinda funny in that I am the opposite. I never use the handle lock and wish there wasn't even one. Kinda like how most house entries are, just a deadbolt and no locking handle.

I have the RV lock on my 19 and love it. I bought mine last Thanksgiving, I believe it was 40 percent off for that sale. You can sign up on their site to get notified of their upcoming sales.

What model are you happy with and how is it different from the keyless model that Escape Industries sale? Haven't received my new 19 yet (didn't order the keyless but was thinking maybe I should) also wonder if Escape Trailers would install something other than what they offer. (new camper, new Escape 19 owner to be). thanks

I wouldn't worry about Escape installing this. It takes a phillips screwdriver and about 10 minutes to install. It definitely can be done as a DIY project.

RV Lock plus exterior hatch locks
Like many others, we really like our RV lock.
When we ordered our RV Lock for our E21, we also ordered hatch locks for our three exterior hatches. With RV Lock, you can have the door and the exterior hatches all work with the same key. ( https://www.rvlock.com/collections/f...vlock-cam-lock) - Bea

This is a real benefit...
If RVLOCK would just make hitch and stainless steel hitch pin locks, we could reduce our trips to just one key + car key!

I used the COMPACT RIGHT HAND RVLOCK KEYLESS ENTRY HANDLE on my 2020 Escape 19. Either righthand lock will work. I felt the compact one was more in keeping with the scale of the trailer. Also, the compact one looks like the stock handle.
Periodically through the year (holidays and black friday) RVlock offers substantial discounts. Wait for one of those sales to buy one.

We have one from ETI on our camper. Looks very similar and works well. If you are buying new, I don’t see why you would not buy from them and have one less thing to do (and throw away).
