Here in Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky on the banks of the Ohio River, we have an annual event called the Ohio River Paddlefest. They shut down this major waterway to all commercial (i.e., big coal barges) and motor boat traffic and give us kayak, canoe, and SUP paddlers the entire river for a 9 mile once a year excursion. Some 2,000 paddlers participate. It’s one of the biggest such events in the country. This year’s Ohio River Paddlefest is tomorrow morning.

Anyway, we headed down to drop off our kayaks (avoids the mad chaos in the morning) and to enjoy the party they have the night before. Lo and behold, in the small parking lot provided for anyone who wants to camp tonight, there sits an Escape 5.0! Cool! The 5.0 had gray decals, and tow vehicle was a gray F-150 with Ohio plates. We parked our truck in the same lot, but our fellow Escape owners weren’t there when we were around.

If you folks are checking out the Escape forum while you camp tonight……see you out on the Ohio River tomorrow! Have a great paddle, folks!

Right behind you in Nov. Never needed 8 hrs either, if I can't sleep, I seem to solve problems then. Working on getting the new E19 in ship shape for "Chasing Trials" with 4 dogs, & the Mississippi Rally.

Escape sighting

A late-model E21NE was set up across the way from us at Bowron Lake Provincial Park in north-central British Columbia this weekend.

We spotted another 21’ at Two Medicine Campground in Glacier National Park yesterday. We’ve been traveling for the past 8 days from Florida, without seeing any other Escapes, until this one.
Had a brief chat with the couple at the campsite, found out it was a 2022, shared a few mutual tails of little trailer troubles , then we went on to have our picnic on the side of gorgeous Two Medicine Lake.

Beautiful little campsite within the park, very rustic, surrounded by Wildlife. (yes, including bold, black bears, one of which we saw this morning on the shore, near a boat dock on St Mary Lake in the park. Yikes!).

Onwards to Whidbey Island!

near Glacier

Yesterday, about 1:00pm, westbound on US-2 south of Glacier NP, a 19 (I think) with blue graphics.

Based on the previous post, there were two 21's at nearby Two Medicine the day before - we almost had an impromptu rally!

Now that you're in the northwest you should start seeing more Escapes.

We just returned to Manitoba from 3 weeks travelling ND, MT, ID, WA then up into BC, AB, SK and home to MB. We stayed off the interstates and Trans-Canada Hwy., using only secondary highways.

We must have seen a dozen or more Escapes. Some in every state and province. We also had other Escapees approach us to say hi but we didn't see their trailers.

I’ve seen very few in the upper Midwest this season. Especially driving non Interstate highways and enjoying the heck out of that.
Currently Camped at Sugar Bottom COE. Very nice.

Took a 5 day trip just east of Mt Rainier. Sunday 8/13, passed a westbound 19 on US12 near the Interstate 5 junction; Wednesday 8/16 a 19 eastbound on WA410 just west of Chinook Pass, and there was this 21C in the same Pleasant Valley campground we were camped in.

Waterton Lakes National Park

Met Carl & Claire (sp?) from Calgary with their 17 in the townsite campground. Love their bright blue graphics (same color as mine).

An Escape 21 pulled into Hilltop Camper and RV in Fridley, MN just before us yesterday! We took our 21 NE in for service to have the See Level II monitor repaired on our gray tank. We understand the other Escape needs the same work done on the fresh water tank...is it Nate from MN that owns the 2023 21?

E19 with blue graphics in the Dungeness County Park just outside Sequim this morning. No one was around when we were by. We'll check again tomorrow.

Safe travels, Doug

Escape Sighting

Yesterday saw an Escape 19 with red graphics east bound on Virginia 58 near Danville, VA. We were headed east on 58 with our 21, dark blue graphics. It has been rare for us to see another Escape in Virginia.

What a great campground; we almost missed it trying to find a spot to visit OP NP. With 66 campsites half are first come, first served basis. Where else do you see that percentage?

I'm new to Escape and just found this forum, but we (hopefully soon to be Escape owners) spotted a 19 or 21 at Morro Bay State Park on 8/19/23. I hope you all had a great trip! (We took that sighting as a sign that we should take the Escape route and not continue shopping for a stick built, so thank you!)

Well we are two weeks into our Maritime vacation and have not seen one Escape. We did have an Oliver here at Cavendish campground of Prince Edward Island NP but each time I went by no-one was at home. We had hoped to meet up with Alf and Maryanne but they let the island before we could see them. Hopefully we'll yet see an Escape.

Yep. That's what happens; you see and Escape and next thing you know you have one. Last year on I5 between Stockton and Sacramento, we were passed by an Escape 5.0 being pulled by a Ford F150. Seven months later, we had a 5.0 being pulled by a Ford F150. It's destiny.

Welcome to the enlightenment
