It is cold......

Right now it is 7 degrees outside, dropping down to 4 degrees by 4 am and the wind chill is -10!!! The coldness takes your breath away, too cold to do any work in the trailer, it is about 30 inside with the electric heat on medium. BBrrrrrr......

It's cold

Cold here in eastern Iowa tonight too. -14 F but the wind went down at sunset so not as offensive as the -4 with 20 mph wind we had today. About 6 in of fresh snow, first we've had since Thanksgiving. Looking forward to spring rallies and getting the garden in. Hang in there, put another log on the fire, crack a cold one, listen to some old music.

Seems cold everywhere. Down to 28 tonight here in San Antonio with a high tomorrow of only 45. Below freezing overnight is a VERY rare occurrence here. Norms are about 65 and 45.

It's unseasonably warm in our part of the country. The Salt Lake City forecast is 33 F tonight with a high tomorrow of 46 F (normal temps are 19 and 34).

I guess so, I have to say I didn't wear my shorts while pressure washing my sundeck today.

We take a lot of flack for the amount of rain in this part of the woods but living near the warm ocean does have its' perks.

It's 11 pm and 43 degrees at my place; like Ron it's nice to be near the water.

We hit over 50 degrees yesterday. Supposed to be warm and sunny all week... unusual, unusual, unusual for this time of the year in the Pacific NorthWET. We should be somewhere between 38-46 and raining! If the temperature doesn't drop and we don't get some rain we are going to be in a world of hurt this summer. Snow pack is really low in our mountains right now.

Check your calendars folks, it is winter still. It is supposed to be cold.

There does seem to be lots of cold about the continent right now, that's for sure. Hang in there, it will pass.

I love winter, and will take the cold with it. I don't like it when it gets above freezing though, and our snow melts, and things look that ugly brown-grey colour. I like to embrace the winter elements, and enjoy them, because if I didn't, it would be one heck of a long winter here.

Cold?

The two winters we spent at Minot, ND helped us make up our mind we would return to Calif and would have stayed there if work had not taken us to OK and then later 10 years in Utah, Adding that time to my growing up years in Colorado and we are now in AZ to stay and I've been complaining about the lows of 30 and the highs of only 65 to 75. Of course when other places have nice weather, we go there to ESCAPE the heat here. RETIRE AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE!!!!!

This morning Pensacola set a new record low for this day - 20 degrees!
A couple of days ago we were in the high 60s. (The normal high for Jan in 61.)

Got some frost overnight. It's a toasty 14 degrees out there right now, here in central NM at 6:30 AM.

Only about -17°C here this morning. Had some freezing rain yesterday and a super strong wind last night. Roads are a bit slick today. Could be worse for this time of year. Was quite a lot colder last week. Winter is going to stay for a while yet. Won't even think about uncovering the "trailer" for another 2 months or more.

My wife & I spent the New Years holiday @ Hunting Island State Park in South Carolina. Luckily we only saw a low of 40F or so. This morning, it reads 24 degrees F there! Also, we got the Escape winterized before putting into storage so I'm not too concerned about this mornings low of 4 degrees F here in Western North Carolina!

We have a balmy -17C here this am, much better than a few days ago at -32! Still we can hardly wait for our trip to southern TX where I see there's a hazardous weather warning and with wind chill it's below freezing there now, still much better than here.

We've had -19 deg F this week with wind chills in the - 30 to -45 deg range . Snowing this morning with -2 deg F.. My exercise for this week has been numerous trips to the wood pile and cleaning ash out of the stove..

Bad enough that it's 7 deg outside at 10:30am, in the Escape it's -1.

Calgary is cold this morning -13c ( under 9f ) yesterday it went up to +8c . There has been some snow since New Years - no where near last winters and hoping the next chinook take it away again . We had a brown Christmas and New Years and loved it - not a fan of snowy roads.
Good way to view a cold morning - make little pot of mocha , whip some cream , in a cosy corner put on some nice music ( maybe Streisand or Boccelli) - maybe turn on lap top with slide show , and make plans !
