RIP to our Escape 19

At 2am last night we heard the thump of a falling tree and feared what that could mean.

We enjoyed our Escape 19 while we had it. We slept in it 569 nights - 27 states & 1 province where we picked her up - our vacation home on wheels - our home between two houses - our base while doing volunteer work... Lots of good memories. :-(

It would be great to get another, but we'll see. Right now we are in shock.

Wow, what a shock, from you post title I thought that it meant that you had sold your trailer and were moving on.

Glad to hear you have insurance.

569 nights, at least it got used lots in its brief life.

You have my sympathy . You may have lost a trailer but you did not lose your memories. Let's hope that in a relatively short period of time things will return to normal

Wow. Hope your adjuster treats you well. Gather up those receipts and photographs.

My condolences and hope your insurance company is reputable. From a recent experience in a different type of loss, if they are using third-party adjusters and it doesn't seem right be prepared to dispute. They are not your friends; not to say they are your enemies either.

We have a neighbor with a monster Eucalyptus tree and we won't park our trailer in the area we prefer to keep it due to the concern.

The treefall was bad for the trailer but good for the house. The bright side. I always had a sense of security when camped among the trees on windy days. Less so after seeing the picture.

Thanks, everyone, for all your support. We are glad it didn't hit the house and glad no one got hurt. My husband was napping in the trailer just 9 hours earlier. I am imagining insurance battles and have to call campgrounds in Newfoundland to cancel reservations, but all is good. We are safe.

Yeeeouch! I'm so sorry to hear that you've lost your trailer, but so very glad to hear that no one was injured and that you have insurance. I wish you all the best of luck with the claims adjuster and the insurance company itself.
