Seems like it might be similar to what Sandra's son fashioned.
Hi Gregg . Bought one of those locks on our exterior battery box , on our previous tent trailer . Better then just making easy to steal your batteries . Pat

Pat,
I've had them on for over a year now and they are an excellent solution.
Glad they're working out for you

Sounds like most of the thefts have occurred either when parked or in storage. Just curious if anyone has had issues when actually out camping. (I live in the middle of nowhere behind a locked gate, so I feel pretty safe here.)

Yes, I have the twin 6v on the tongue on the 19. They have a 6v discount for two of them so I have one lock on each box with keyed alike locks.

Hi Gregg saw your instation earlier in thread . Yup great idea . Ours are in the storage box in front, now . But we put the lock on when battery was on tongue on previous tent trailer . Pat

In all my years of camping, never had anything taken - I usually lock my bike and yeti cooler, but batteries, Propane tanks, grill, chairs, etc all OK (knock on wood).
Once, a friend I was camping with found her propane tanks had been partially unhooked - something must have scared the guys off, so luckily, she still had her tanks.

Wish I could say the same Anne, but on our first trip with our Escape we had our dog food, dog bowls and dog brush swiped from under our trailer, right next to the front door. Gouldings campground, Monument Valley UT.

My disgust for thieves knows no bounds, even after interacting with and arresting dozens of them when I was a cop.

That happened to us one time, turned out to be a raccoon was the culprit, found the bowls about 20 yards away, food and brush were gone.
