So when and where exactly is the Annual Escape Owners Beer Summit (EOBS)?

This would be a true barley sandwich, layered like that. Great choice for a filling lunch.

I hadn't seen them, but I avoid any mixed drinks in cans or bottles, as the only ones I have tried are really, really lame compared to having it mixed properly, and fresh.

Hi Alf. Both of the common grocery chains (Winn Dixie, Publix) carry Black and Tan as well as Yuengling lager. Actually, Yuengling has a brewery in Tampa, which at one time belonged to Pabst. When you stop by, we will definitely consume a few!

Yuengling Black and Tan is actually a mixture of their premium beer and their Porter. It is dark in color with a somewhat dark beer taste. I just can't see diluting a Porter. While I tend to buy craft beers or specialty beers, back in the early 80s when I lived in the land of winter, I was into home brewing and the products I brewed were far superior to anything available commercially. Now that I am in Florida and not confined to the house 7 months out of the year, I spend my time pursuing outdoor activities.

Actually Jim it sounds like the EOBS will have to be at the in the planning stages first escape Midwest rally which will likely be in WI. We shall have to put Eric in charge of the beer for the event!

There has always been a beer exchange at the Escape Rally too. Could be organized a bit better, but still is fun, especially drinking the beers.

At my first beer exchange, I was under the impression that we would gather and try various beers. Instead it was like the running of the bulls, everybody grabbing beers, trying to avoid the Bud Lime and then taking their stash back to their trailer.
Anybody know how to run a civilized beer exchange?

Note to self: upon receiving delivery of Escape 17 next summer, immediately stock with contingency supplies, those being copious amounts of favorite brew, for distribution to needy Escapees.
