Rain diverter above awning windows

We have a 2018 E19 with the awning windows. We remember threads about ETI had just started adding a rubber strip above the awning windows. We have that black strip on our E19 and it works great. Any idea what it is called or where we can buy more of it for a different project?

I'm sure if you contact Escape, ask for Dustin, he can tell you the source....

nope, that link is for a J type section. The rain diverters above our awning windows are straight. maybe a 30° bend where they glue onto the trailer, then they jutt out about 1 inch. Jim you have posted about the J section on your previous trailers, but that is not on our E19.

Just ask Escape they will send you a link on where to buy it. I just asked yesterday for a link for the cupboard and bathroom door hinges. I had a home depot link sent to me in 24 hours.

I have no idea what a hinge link is. There is a black rubber/plastic strip (that I am calling a rain diverter) above the awning windows, maybe 1/2" above the glass, maybe 1/4" above the hinge at the top of the window. Is that hinge at the top of the awning windows the hinge link? The black rubber/plastic strip is independent of the windows. It is glued on the fiberglass side of the trailer. This piece was put on trailers by the factory sometime before Oct '18. The awning windows had reports of leaks inside prior to this rain diverter being added.

Closer than the J section, but it is rigid styrene. What is on the trailers is a 3/8"×1" flexible L shape. It is black, fairly stiff, but still flexible. I think styrene would chip and crack. Looking for rain protection almost identical to what is on our Escape 19. Just another project.

RV rain gutter

17 B 2013 Early on with our Escape we did purchase RV Rain Gutter. We put it on both side windows and rear. Did clean the frame to ensure that it would stick. Warmed it up a little to make bending easier, that worked well. It is sticky cut to desired length then attach. Its been on the trailer for numerous years. Since its black you really don't realize its on.
Also it works

See if this will work. You specify the length you want in the quantity tab

Oldtimer, that is about as close as anything I have found. So far have spent hours looking at plastic shapes that are not quite the same. Thanks for this suggestion.

When I recently contacted ETI regarding a replacement spare tire cover, I also asked them for the source for the rain diverter, as I also had been searching for replacements on line with no success. I did not receive the source information, but ETI was able to send me a complete set of diverters for all of the windows on our 21NE. The cost was $15.00 US plus shipping, along with the replacement spare tire cover for $21.75 US.

Escape kindly got back to me on the rain diverter. They have it specially made for them and were happy to sell me some at $12.95/foot. Canadian $ so not all that expensive? They did give a link to Amazon for a similar product that was much cheaper.
