Retracting power awning manually

If someone could please direct me to instructions on manually retracting the Dometic power awning on our 2018 5.0, I would greatly appreciate it. The wind sensor is not working. Neither the light strip nor the awning responds to the remote. We have replaced the batteries in both to no effect. I am confused by the instructions in the manual. Thanks so much!

As I answered on Facebook...check the power switch just inside the door on the lower cabinet. It has an awning label and black in colour.

Yes, thanks. Power switch is on. The only time we turn it off is when traveling.

There are instructions in the manual for retracting manually. The forum Files section has the manuals but there are two slightly different versions of the 9500 awning so I’m reluctant to point to something specific.

On edit: I see in your initial post that you said you are confused by the instructions in the manual so my information above will be of no use.

It is my understanding from their Facebook post on the same question, is that turning on the power switch fixed their problem. They were having a problem locating it as it did not look like the one pictured in the manual.

Thanks for your help, all. We did check the fuse, we tried all your good suggestions, with no results. We got the name of an RV dealer/repairer from the Dometic website. The technician came out & he did not inspire confidence. Paid $219 & waiting for him to call back with recommendations. We did get the awning closed manually.
I emailed Escape & for approximately $1350 CDN they will retrofit a manual awning. Undecided if we are too old to make the trip from PA to BC. 2 1/2 years ago it was easy and pleasurable, but health issues have cropped up, so it may not be a great idea. Plus who knows when the border will reopen. Decisions decisions.

Power awning

When our power awning would not retract, I eventually removed the on-off switch from the wall and discovered that the wire had disconnected from the switch. Escape used the wrong size spade lug and had trapped the wire between two pieces of wood. I did a permanent repair when we got home. Just a thought but easy to check

Regards

Dave
