Actually, that Scamp had two stripper poles, one at each end. I replaced the original cabinet supports with chrome shower rod. Easier to wipe finger prints off than wood. With or without the poles,...

What's the stripper pole for? My old Scamp 16 had one but I knew it was there to keep the upper cabinets from falling down.
