I just got an email reply from ETI to my question about the new base dry weight of the 21' (before any options) - it is 3210# a change of only 70# from the "classic".

That correlates with what Tammy had told me before when they only had estimates during the preliminary build. As she told me, the 21' was changing very little as the only weight increases were from the new awning and some more reinforcement of the straighter walls.

By reviewing Jon Vermilye's spread sheet of actual weights, I have now calculated the following average weights of the 20 or so "classic" 21's and 19's that he has recorded:

21' total weight avg. 4024, tongue avg. 453

19' total weight avg. 3694, tongue avg. 375

So there you have it: a 330 lb difference.

Even with weights up slightly for the new ones (70+-) the differences between the sizes would presumably stay about the same.

Our trailer's actual weight, while traveling, nearly matches CPAHarley's prior 21, with ours weighing in at 3780 at the axles, 470 on the tongue, for a total weight of 4250 with about half a tank of fresh water and both other tanks empty.

Jon, if you read this, you could add us to the spread sheet if we're not already in there.

Bill I think the 19 went up quite a bit more in weight than that 70# the 21 did.

Jim said this on another thread:

GVWR=5000
So that means a 340# increase in the 19 - at least according to what the website still show as 2610# - apparently the old numbers? If this is all correct new 21 base weight is 260# more than the base 19. Not a lot different that what you calculated in the avearages of the old models.
