Lots of snow track vehicles from over the years. In rural Alaska we put thousands of miles on snowmobiles every year, but I wouldn’t try to pull an Escape with one, although a sled full of moose might give an Escape 13 a race on weight.

Tracked F-150 in action.
Not a favorite of the car wash manager.

I'm wondering that same question. I think it would be a bit underpowered. Coming from a Highlander, I feel like I should make a bigger step up. We've settled on, in our minds anyway, a slightly used F150 in the spring. I've been looking on the Carvana website. It's actually a good way to know what's out there in the market. They almost always post the window sticker along with a lot of pics. I don't see a lot of the 3.3 engines though. Mostly 2.7s and 5.0s with the occasional 3.5.

I asked that a while ago, but got no answer. However the 3.3 has almost as much horsepower that my 2004 5.4 Triton engine, albeit with a little less torque. However the transmission is a 6 speed (ten in 2021) which ought to equalize it. Given towing with v6 suvs I expect it would be fine.

heh, my son showed up at a Reno self-serve carwash with his M925A1 all covered in mud and was rinsing it off and the car wash manager got really mad at him and made him shovel all the mud into a trash can as it plugs his drains. he's been up on Red Hill which true to name is all red clay.
[the M925A1 is a 5 ton military 6x6 with 50" tractor tires on all 6 wheels]

Never driven a 3.3, but it’s tow rating is over 7000lbs, which should be fine for an Escape as long as you don’t try to drive it like a SuperDuty. I’d consider it if I was looking. The biggest drawback I see is the reduced payload rating with the 3.3, but depending on your needs, it could certainly be sufficient.

I have a 2016 3.5.....2wd.....towing package.....3.73 lock diff....have towed a RPod 180....have a 19 on order will be ready this coming June....I ordered truck from factory....
No problems towing....all over Ontario...just remember to change fluids on regular intervals per towing guide....slows down a little on hills....but thats to be expected.
Keeping the truck for towing 19....only have 50,000km on it...
