We have the TireMinder Solar TPMS (and love it), and are guessing that the OP's 2020 E19 has the same front overhead cabinet topology as our 2015 E19. Here's what we did...

We had already installed switches for various things on the P/S overhead cabinet face, one of which was power for the trailer's rear camera. I grabbed +12 from the switched side of that switch, grabbed a general-purpose ground, and mounted the repeater on the bottom of the cabinet. We want both rear camera and repeater ON (traveling) or OFF (not traveling) at the same time. Figured that the sensor signals could easily come up through the fiberglass and plywood floor, hit the repeater, then head forward to the monitor on the tow vehicle dashboard through the front window and the plastic rock guard, and through the rear window of the tailgate, thereby pretty much avoiding metal and reflectix along the way. The green power-on LED on the repeater is easy to see. Works great.

I've got a 5.0, and am running a Tireminder A20U. Like Bea, I've installed the booster out of the weather and road hazards inside. In my case, it's in the cabinet by my door - piggybacked onto one of my 12V outlets, and on a switch which I turn off when parked (if I remember). Works great, and the TPMS saved my bacon twice before I replaced my original equipment tires with real tires.

Per the tireminder manual the best location is under the trailer between the tow vehicle and the tire transmitters. I had stowed mine on a 21c right next to the patch bay for the wiring connectors from the hitch to the trailer. I tapped into that box for power. On a 5.0 indoor might work ok. if it was low and close to the front. One of the reasons for the booster mounted underneath is to pick up the signals bouncing off the road and amplifi them . Mine worked like a charm.

I just found this thread. I purchased the solar Tireminder. I have a 5.0. I don’t know nuttin bout no wiring. If I mount it inside, can I remove the battery connector ends on the wires and attach a cigarette lighter plug so I can plug it into a 12v outlet while driving? If so, how would I do that? Thanks guys and dolls.

You have to establish what voltage it's operating on with solar. Info might be in the literature or stamped on the solar module. Wrong voltage could ruin your day.

If it is the correct voltage cigarette lighter ends are readily available. Correct polarity is important, the center is positive.

I assume you mean the repeater box that come supplied with the alligator clips for attaching to battery ? If so you could connect a cigarette light plug to that . The positive wire would be the center pin in the cigarette plug the negative would be the outer ring. hope this helps

I'm surprised that a signal booster is needed.
I have a TST system that I have yet to install on the Escape however I used it on my 37' motorhome, 6 tires-plus 4 on my tow vehicle and never needed a signal booster.
Total length over 50 feet.

I have the Tymate system and it works fine for my truck and the 5.0 without a booster. I haven't been using it long so don't know about long term reliability but so far so good.

We have the TST system also. It works well without the booster. Just replaced a battery in one of the sensors even though we've only used the sensors since we picked up the trailer in May. The sensors should have batteries. You may want to check the voltage on the batteries.
