Had the latest of ongoing family gatherings in Borrego last month. I had a great time getting there slowly with my 18yo granddaughter as company. Worked our way down from San Jose taking a couple nights. First night at Yanks RV Resort in Greenfield...pricey, but she wanted to swim so grandma found a place w a pool, and the nicest restrooms I've seen while camping. Seriously posh. Then a night a Faria County Park just north of Santa Barbara--small park, right at the beach. Then a few nights at Borrego Springs Resort which has a hotel and a campground. There were 30 of us, four generations, including my 95 year old dad...this may be the last one he's spry enough to attend. The kids (6 under 18) put on a show in the evening. So nice to be together as a family. There's a great Farmer's market on Friday at the traffic circle. Plus so many big sculptures here and there.
