Well, I guess if the raised portion can be removed later on, I guess it makes sense to put the flooring all the way across. That way the next person using it (without the raised flooring) will have a completely covered floor instead of trying to match something that might be discontinued.

So, is this section above what is normally raised? I'm not super familiar with the 19s. I know in the 21 the flooring is raised due to tanks or whatnot underneath. It that the same in the 19 and you got another section added on top of that? And that's what could be removed later?

Or did I further confuse the discussion?

This is an option that allows better viewing out the windows. What I think they do is build up the sides of the benches 3" higher than they build up the floor between the benches. Distances from top of bench to floor is the same as it would be without elevating.

I think that works.
Another way to think of it might be that the raised floor is just more cabinetry, and all of the cabinets are installed on top of flooring.

Originally all Escapes had the raised floor in the rear, following the step up in the frame. Yes, it allowed more space for the fresh water tank, but it also raised the bumper for better clearance. The 21' and 5.0TA didn't initially have a step up in the floor because it was recessed between the frame rails (which still step up) in the dinette area, but now even they have the step up.

The 19' is not different in the frame or rear floor, but it is different because its dinette is in the front; there has never been a step up in the frame or floor in the front in the stock form of any model. This special-order feature of a raised dinette floor is being added in the front a 19'.

Is that space 10? Sure is drier that last Wednesday! They tried to put us in space 8 but it was 2/3 covered in water.

Right! There is also the option of having only the benches raised.

Very nice, exciting times are ahead. Know you can't wait to get out and do some camping. Any trips planned?

After a couple days in the back yard to make sure everything works, and I figure out how to work everything, the DelmarvaPeninsula is our first stop.

Nope, we were the 8 am appointment and Tom and Sue were the 9:30 one. We dropped ours off at the KOA and went out for a bit and came back to a mini meet.

Looks like a different brand/model power jack than on our 2017 21'. Does ETI install different power jacks on the 19 vs 21? Or have they moved on to a different supplier?
