new forum new suggestion

I'd like to see a map of the Escape owners made into a sub forum. It is located here
https://maps.google.com/maps/ms?msid...9394,67.631836

Wink Top Tab ?

Hi: Janet H... I sure do miss the tab that was at the bottom of the page of posts. It was one click to get back to the top rather than having to scroll with the mouse wheel. Any chances of having it back? It would be a great improvement over at FGRV as well.

That arthritis in your scrolling finger acting up again, Alf?

I do know what you mean though, and usually just grab the slider, rather than spinning the scroll wheel.

Well, couple things I haven't learned is: when I click on an unread topic I used to go to the first unread post on that topic. Now, it goes to the first post and I have to click something else to go to first unread.
I used to refresh the URL and it would leave any unread section icon dark and read sections in grey. Now it doesn't seem to do anything, except I have to log in again.
I didn't have to log in all the time at EF. I was just in.
I've been through the options to no avail.

where would that be? I checked the box "Remember Me". But, I have to put in my user name. Password field is filled in automatically.

If the remember me is not checked then password and user name is needed, I would log out and then log in again to try it again.

Glen,
If you return to the forum home page all the last posts to each thread is shown, even if you click on them and then return to home page they are still high lighted, only under new posts do the new ones show. you can also click under your settings to have any new posts sent to your email, that is what I do to keep on top of things.

Devil Dog,
I'm not sure what question you are answering.
My main issue is that if I click on a thread under Recent Threads, I end up at the first post in that thread. There is a button, top left, to take me to "First Unread" post in that thread ( either that or you have to scroll to the bottom ). On the old site, when I clicked on a thread, it automatically took me to the first unread post. So, either I'm missing something, or this is not an improvement.

If you click on 'New Posts' at the top of the page, it lists all threads with new posts in them. When you click the little arrow (maybe it could be made bigger), it then takes you to your first unread post in the thread, just like the previous way. This is pretty much how every site I go to works as well.

I like this idea. Is the link just a sample/example map? There is not a way to add ourselves, is there?

I believe you have to have a google account and then you can edit the map, try it, it is free. If not, let someone here on the forum know and we can post it for you.

We have an account but I sure didn't see what to do to add us to the map. So, if somebody would be so kind...please add us in Omaha, Nebraska:

I added a tab at the top for Owner's Map. I still have some tweaking to do to make it look better.

Is there any way to modify your own post as on the old forum? If you misspell a name or want to make another little comment or have left out a word, you could easily fix that. Can that be done here?

Okay, now I see it!!! I didn't know half of what there was on the old forum. Will have to get this all straight on the new one.
