Hello from Anchorage!
Just wanted to add a quick hello. We have been perusing this forum to consider the purchase of a late model used or new Escape.
Our current RV is a 1997 Lazy Daze 23.5' but prior to that we owned a Bigfoot 9.6' camper for a few years and we are seriously thinking of the purchase of an escape trailer.
At this point we will likely take a trip to Chilliwack to visit the factory this fall and take a first hand look at the trailers.
I'll surely post some questions in the future once I gather up my thoughts.
I've enjoyed the site so far and its a great resource for someone considering a purchase.

Welcome!
A trip to Escape is always a great idea, getting to see all the new models together to compare. We have gone there and made a mini holiday out of it.

Jim, thats exactly the plan! I'd like to see as many models as I can (all of them hopefully) and get a good look at the construction process.
I am still on the fence with the 19' 21' and the 5.0TA. Hope to figure out which one is for us.

ALMacs - Hello and welcome. Be sure and call ETI ahead of your arrival and tell them about your wish for a tour. Recently, tours were only available during local lunch hour. Recommend arriving earlier and see the trailers on the lot and then schedule a visit to see the builds. Just to sum up, call ahead. Recently they have expanded their plant and perhaps things have changed.
You'll be treated like family. I have a 17A and couldn't be happier with my relationship with ETI. Well .... that is because I haven't needed to contact them .... every thing works and fit and finish has been GREAT.
Good Luck,
Tom
You can stay at a very nice Best Western right next door and BW offers a discount for Escape customers - ask for it at check in.

Don't even have to look at the trailers "on the lot." Since the expansion of the production facilities, there's new offices and a show room! Weather isn't a concern... you're inside and every model is available for a tour.

I was not expecting a showroom. Can't beat that. No need to roll around in the dirt and rain to look underneath.

You can likely see Escapes in Alaska if you want. Sometimes the feedback from owners is very valuable, things they won't say on the forum (if they are even on here which most are not) and you won't get at the factory. They also may tell you about other units and compare.

Thought I'd give an update...we visited Escape on 9/1 and dug into the 21' and 5.0 TA with a fine tooth comb (they literally opened the showroom even though they were closed-which confirmed their reputation for excellent customer service to us).
We made up our mind and put a deposit down on the 5.0TA (2010 F150 5.4 will be two vehicle) for a June 1 complete date! Pretty excited and we will likely pepper the forum with questions and advice while deciding on the options.

Thanks Marry and Honair!
I almost waited for a later date also but figured with 3 months of complimentary storage it was close enough for us.
We'll certainly watch the exchange rate closely over the next 7 months or so
