That's why many of us turned to molded fiberglass...... only takes one or two leakers to figure that out, unless your focus is glam.

Welcome to the forum John. Yes, the durability and leak resistance of molded fiberglass is a compelling reason to have one. There are many other reasons though, not the least of which are the light weight, ease of towing, and the excellent resale value - far higher over time compared to a conventional stick-built trailer. You're heading in the right direction.

I am going to search around for units I may be able to look at. I think the factory has some contacts.

I like your quote. I need to make up one. after I am officially an owner! I figure if I am active on the forum, I stand a better chance at getting a used unit. they don't sit around long!!

yeah, I like working on my RV as much as the next guy/gal. but these mass produced units won't stand up to what we invariably get into! thanks for the support folks.

Not completely sure, but I met a guy at Ft. Desoto last winter when I was visiting Alf, and I think he was from the Orlando area and had a 19. If Alf is "listening," perhaps he can confirm and maybe he remembers the individual's name. Interestingly, there were 3 Escapes at Ft. Desoto at the time. Unusual, because Florida is about as far away from Chilliwack as you can get in the lower 48 and Canada!

Hi: C&G in FL... You must be referring to David Douglas. I'm not sure he has much time to spend on the forum as he travels and photographs birds etc. He bought the used 19'er that escaped the fire down in Baja Mexico.
David Douglas Photography It was great meeting him and swapping stories at Ft. Desoto. Alf

Hi: Rossue... We won't have as much time to spend down south this winter due to our "Lame duck" dollar.
Next week we're out for a few nites up north at Inverhuron Provincial Pk. on the east side of Lake Huron near the south end of the Bruce Peninsula. I can't wait!!! No time like the present. Alf

That is so cool. I was an Air Traffic Controller at Little Rock for almost 10 years - also C-130's. Flew in them many times on ATC check rides. Great bunch of folks those Hercules drivers.
