Question 5.0 cable to tow vehicle 7-pin connector

I've not run across any pics showing exactly where the 7-pin connector cable actually enters the 5.0 hull - anyone happen to have a pic of that?

Also curious about the +12VDC split / junctions for power feed to the front jacks and (brakes) breakaway switch: Where are those located, are they accessible, does ETI use a terminal strip or (?) for those 'taps'?

Finally, any idea of the AWG for the +12VDC wire within the connector cable, and then from the end of that back to the battery / power center?

Thanks In Advance!

I swear Alan, you're doing most of my homework for me. Now, if we can just decide between the propane or compressor frig. When on the road for a month at a time, size matters.

Thanks, Matt

And somewhere out there is a thread where I was ripped heavily for this installation. So far it's working okay. Not sure where I would put it if I redo it.

Yeah, though that's the truck-end not the trailer-end I was inquiring about, I remember that thread.

Seems many prefer the truck's in-bed socket a bit higher, maybe a bit farther forward so It's closer to the hitch pivot. Yours looks convenient for plug-in / unplug from the (dropped) tailgate as long as there's not stuff on the bed-floor in that area. Other locations may be more convenient for 'reach-over' from the bedside with stuff in the bed around the hitch.

Either way a certain amount of attention is required to ensure the umbilical cord isn't gonna snag anything in the bed while underway.

I did install mine higher and nearer the hitch, and the wire harness is routed over the top of the wheel well. If installing it yourself, all you really should do is to lay on the ground on your back and look up between the two “walls” of the cargo bed to make sure there are no obstructions where you plan to cut the hole for mounting the outlet.
