Emergency Brake Rewiring E19

Using Tom's approach to power emergency brake. Attached schematic.

Yet to get response from Tom on the following but need to get the bits bought ASAP to finish the job and hoping for quick reply from others that may have done same.

Where I am stuck is the wiring for the separation of power supply to the emergency brake. As wired in the frame mounted electrical box the 7 pin/tongue jack/emergency brake have a common power feed from the dinette mounted thermal breaker. Tom'schematic shows that the 7 pin/tongue jack will now have power from switched supply on output of main switch. The emergency brake is now routed to the inlput side of the main switch, with fused continuous power from the batteries.

This is where I need assistance in wiring the brake to switch. Schematic shows 10awg looking larger than black wire from emergency brake. To lengthen to reach switch and up size gauge, do I remove from box wiring stud and crimp on a 10 awg wire with a heat shrink connector ? Best practise?

Crimp works. Quick disconnect terminals work. I crimped a ring lug terminal on the 10awg and joined the two ring lugs using a short brass machine screw /nut then wrapped with electrical tape.

Of course, all crimped connections are soldered then heat shrinked.

Thanks Tom! I just wanted to make sure that isolating this 1 black emergency wire out of the box connections was the way to go and there would be the neg/ground still intact for the circuit? I suppose it is the other black brake wire?

The other black wire should be connected to the negative / ground terminal in the 7-pin box. That would be the one at the far right in the pic. This pic is from before I separated the emergency brake circuit.
