Water pump shook apart
Lately I noticed that my trailer's water pump wasn't working well; it was providing weak flow and wouldn't shut off. I figured the thing had lost its prime or was just worn out, so since I had a new pump as a spare I decided to just replace it.
When I looked at the pump I was startled to see that two of the machine screws that hold it together were sitting on the floor beneath the pump. They had shaken out. The manual for the new pump said to check those machine screws on occasion as road vibrations will shake them loose. I'm guessing vibration from the pump itself doesn't help matters, either.
