Speaking of Roads, I taught my son to drive in a picked soybean field using 2 liter bottles for pylons, a catalog under his rear end and a stick shift Ford pickup when he was 11. He took to it easily. Later as Valedictorian at his high school commencement he gave an entertaining address which included the admonition “Roads? Where we’re going we won’t need any roads. From the cult classic “Back to the Future”.
Today he sent me a notice on the rollout of the X59 supersonic Lockheed plane that happens later today.
His understated message “ I wrote a few hundred lines of code and worked on the flight deck and got that all lined up.” Guess he wasn’t kidding 23 years ago when he said roads weren’t his major concern.
Eagle Scouts fly pretty high and pretty fast I’m learning. We are proud of him and of our daughters.
