Not sure why I’m quoted talking about baked goods. It was Chris and Patricia.

Good question. One for Admin. If you click on the little blue box in the quote, it takes you back to your post on page four.

Sorry! I did have multiple posts quoted and removed the irrelevant ones, but I didn't deliberately shuffle their contents. I just fixed it.

Had a nice dinner and night at the Harris Ranch. Checked my home security cameras. Pond is still frozen and there's still snow on the driveway. Maybe I'll accidently start heading South again.

Heading north? There is an "atmospheric river" on the way.

Scored the coveted corner nook spot at Rolling Hills. Nothing behind or beside us but, well, rolling hills.
Rain is just starting, but that's OK. Heading for Siskiyou now, better rain than snow.

Keep moving north safely Ron. Portland may have snow and/or freezing rain overnight Wed-Fri. It will warm up during the day though but morning travel may be treacherous.

No kidding, this weather is crazy.
Started from the French Creek rest stop yesterday. Just a hint of snow flurries at first but as the day progressed the snow got heavier and heavier. The last hour home was pretty treacherous alright. What the heck. Here I was expecting to come home to Spring like conditions, flowers popping up, Baglso`s rhubarb up about 2 feet, and what do I have but snow. I was planning on pressure washing the truck and trailer but I guess that will have to wait.
Why oh why did we come back
The weather also was crazy down LA way. Soaring in the San Gabriel mtns. you can normally see LA and the Channel Islands beyond. This year LA was completely socked in, solid cloud. Hwy. 2 was covered in snow and closed. Normally you see people at the view points. I think the best term to describe the current weather situation is the old Hill Street Blues term, ipso nutso.
Last photo is an illustration of the difference between ASL and AGL. Good thing that the Mojave was sunny and warm.

Saw a good explanation for the current situation. It's global warming. As the Arctic warms, the temperature difference between the Arctic and lower latitudes is reduced and that causes the polar vortex to shift position and slow down. Pushes the cold south and moves slowly.

Global warming should be on the list:
1. The check is in the mail.
2. I'll respect you in the morning.
3. I'm from your government, and I am here to help you.
4. It's only a cold sore.
5. You get this one, I'll pay next time.
6. My wife doesn't understand me.
7. Trust me, I'll take care of everything.
8. Of course I love you.
9. I am getting a divorce.
10. Drinking? Why, no, Officer.
11. I never inhaled.
12. It's not the money, it's the principle of the thing.
13. I never watch television except for PBS.
14. ...but we can still be good friends.
15. She means nothing to me.
16. Don't worry, I can go another 20 miles when the gauge is on "empty."
17. I gave at the office.
18. Don't worry, he's never bitten anyone.
19. I'll call you later.
20. We'll release the upgrade by the end of the year.
21. Read my lips: no new taxes
22. I've never done anything like this before
23. Now, I'm going to tell you the truth
24. It's supposed to make that noise.
25. I *love* your new _____!
26. ...then take a left. You can't miss it.
27. Yes, I did.
28. Don't worry, it's OK -- I'm sterile.

You can call it whatever you want, I have a couple of words for it that aren't very nice. We're running almost 20 degrees colder than average at my house and I'm very tired of hearing my furnace run constantly. The snow is almost gone... TG.

Yup. And because you are 20 degrees colder, and the Arctic is warmer, there is less temperature differential, which is why winter is hanging around.
