With the first trip looming and another night of driveway camping:

TV antenna works better than the 2010 Winguard. Based on reports, I didn’t expect that.
Loaded everything in the trailer and Ranger for a typical 2-3 month trip. As usual, there is a good bit of left over space.

Almost on the road. First stop will be Elk City state park for some hiking.

Have a great time. We picked up our trailer in 2017 and spent 4 weeks driving home. Next summer we will do it again, all be it another frog trailer brand . Enjoy

So nice to see you out. We had great Escape memories. I go to a few music festivals where I meet up with great friends and play old blues , jazz, and traditional music. The 21 was ideal for that when I was solo. As wee age we felt we wanted a little more space and a dry bath well as a 4 season rig. Twice the money, but we have it and will use the trailer extensively. Hoping to do Banff on the way back from the west.

4 season rigs are nice. We made the E19 as close to 4 season as we could. I am sure we will push the temperature edges with it. So far nothing to worry about with 27F the low so far. In Alaska we did some winter trips in our Bigfoot, and it worked great as long as we could recharge the batteries fairly often or have electric.

It’s been a nice trip. Everything has worked great except the bath light keeps cutting off randomly.

Today we go to a working river lock, a museum, and a very large quilt / fabric store. Then I’m sure we will hang out around the fire. Tomorrow is a travel day to a NFS campground in the Ouchitas.

Nice looking combo - the aranger and your E19. My husband and I are early on in the wait for a 21C. I live full-time in a TC, but heading back to combo stationary and traveling…in the 21C.

You referenced some mods to extend the season of your Escape. Can you please list them and/or point me to some threads you might have posted about them? I suspect your mods are way more sophisticated than I could do based on what I have seen from you in some posts. But I might get some ideas that I can do more simply.

The factory does most of it. Foam, double windows, minimal outside hatches, tank heaters etc. For post factory stuff, just more insulation with foam / reflectix where you can, a way to keep batteries charged, and a backup source of heat. Beyond that, remember it’s still a 3 season trailer and at some point you have to give up on running water. Remember your 3 tank drain valves. They will be the first 3 frozen places.

Also, forgot. the door and front window on our 19 are non opening, so we put the clear plastic interior window film on them.

Don’t forget reflectix for the window rock covers and roof vents.

As a note, I don’t have enough experience yet to know for sure but:

It might be location or it might be design, but our frameless rear window has MUCH less condensation on the frame than our sliders. Knowing that now, I might have opted for frameless.

Thank you for the good info. Most is what plan to do and/or expect in trailer. The frameless window info is new to me (relative to condensation).

I’ve not seen the frameless come up either about condensation, but if I were in the planning stage, it’s something I’d look into given my experience. I have not yet had time to improve our insulation. That’s pretty far down the list, but maybe I can post some when I do. 27F is all we’ve seen on this trip. Any trailer should be fine for that, but we will camp colder in the future. We had a 4 season Bigfoot in Alaska.

Our bath light switch has 3 positions, On, Off, & Motion Detection On. Could this be the issue with your bath light?

Frameless has been my choice since their introduction.....better in the cold and sleeker looking in the warmth!

I did not know the bath light was motion activated.......something new?
