Escape 23 on order!
Hello folks! We have been waiting since 2019, and waiting, and waiting, for the Escape 23 to come out, and just put down a deposit for one this week! I just thought I'd share a couple things I've learned for others who may be considering an E23, or are just curious. There is now a cabinet between the twin bed and the kitchen counter (as opposed to the countertop extending all the way to the bed in the July '23 video with Karl). They sent me a couple pictures of this from their floor room model, which I tried to attach.
There will be outside hatches on each side to access under the bed storage (this is for twin model).
There will be two shelves in the cabinet between the beds.
There is one exterior 110v outlet.
There are outdoor showers on each side.
The cushions come full wrap.
Foot flush toilet.
Reinforceable walls not necessary because it's now 1/2" paneling.
They will not offer customization on models they produce this year, but likely will start offering at some point next year. Our production date is next April, and they thought they would probably be offering customization by then, including flooring, fabric, formica, counter-extensions (didn't ask what else would be available because it already comes standard with so many features that we would want).
We're so excited to finally "join the club"!
~Kim

Congratulations and thanks for the update.
That cabinet makes sense since the counter was very long and now is still a good size.
From a Scamp to a 23, that's quite a 2 footitis.

Thank you! And yes, I would have been happy with a 19 or 21, but my husband really wanted those twin beds. It'll seem palatial!

We just put our deposit down as well, for a June 2024 completion.
Excited to upgrade to the 23!

We're upgrading to a 23 as well. We have an early January 2024 completion date.

I think one detail that'll be appreciated by many is the stripper pole at the counter corner. Another handhold for those few that (like me) need it on occasion.

The first thing we check out when buying a trailer is what size the bed is. For us it must be a minimum of 60 wide by 80 long or it is a non contender. This is why we will never own a 21c and now I guess a 23.

I could live with a slightly narrower bed....such as what's offered with the 21C. However, the 74" length (before the clipped corners) would be an absolute deal-breaker for me.
At least the 23's twin bed option still uses mattresses that are 80" long.

I'm with you on the excited to join the crew. I was ready to pull the trigger on a E 5 two years ago when they announced the E 23. Glad I waited and looking forward to delivery in the next few months. I lucked out in the first draw. The walk around double bed sold me. No more climbing over to get in and out of bed. Yippee

Congrats! Yes, the twin beds or walk-around queen sold us as well -no more divorce bed. We've been waiting since 2020 for the E23 to come out. The custom fabric and formica that I originally picked out have both been discontinued by now! Which may not matter much if they still say no customization on the First Generation E23s. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that that will change by the time ours goes into production.

The dimensions appear to be a queen bed.

The commenter thought it was a double bed. 5 ft wide is queen for everybody but quite tall folks.
