Trailer: 19 Escape, arrived March 2021

Our Casita (which we just sold, 19 Escape on order for Spring) had a small fridge which was unreliable. It froze food on A/C and the propane would blow out while driving.

We travel with a portable, 12v compressor cooler inside our truck. The cooler fits on the floor behind the driver's seat, but was large enough that we could keep enough food cold for several days while traveling. With our unreliable fridge in the Casita, this was a necessity.

It seems that one option when ordering an Escape trailer is to keep the smaller fridge, maximize the drawer, cabinet options inside the trailer, and have a portable small fridge that you could selectively take and/or leave depending on the length of trip and anticipated food needs.

Just a thought from a newbie . . .

We opted for the drawer under the wardrobe.
The standard fridge will work well for us as we seem to always come back with unused refrigerated food in our smaller Scamp fridge.
Can you tell me how high up is the bottom of the microwave in the 19.

We didn't get the microwave, but the bottom of the cabinet above the fridge is 60.6" above the floor, and the top is 71.6" above the floor. The opening is 11" x 18" (to clear the door catch) and 13" deep.

I can go either way on a whole bunch of trailer options but I have to disagree with that fridge statement. The biggest improvement that I've ever experience in RVing is the larger fridge. It's a dream come true having a decent size fridge and separate freezer. Depends on a person's use of course but the larger fridge is one of the options that's non-negotiable for us.

Agreed and it is amazing how much I use the freezer too.

I started this thread, so I thought I'd circle back to mention what we did:

Got the big 6 foot fridge
And the oven
And two drawers below the closet

We love the big fridge and at least for us find there is no shortage of space in the trailer.

The one Escape I had an oven it was never used, except for storage of cooking items. There are campfire ovens as well as electric ones if needed.
