If I had the dimensions of the area where tabe top sits of u shape dinette currently installed. I would be able to estimate the largest size table top that would fit on the base of Lagun table.

Since I will be visiting ETI in April I was going to just find out then.

If someone has the dimensions of the area where the standard table rests in the current U-shape dinette would be awesome. This number may change with the new 2017 5.0TA, but likely close enough for government work.

I will do a measure up of the 2017 5.0TA in two weeks. The depth of the front wall of the rear bench is a U-shape is important, if you wish to swing the table around to the back.

You better watch it with the political talk. LOL

But seeing you are in a 17, don't you have to go through the proper progression, and get a 19 next. Then maybe later a 21 or 5,0TA?

Overton's would not have the silver pedestal in stock until 03/21/2017, and we didn't want the black pedestal. Luckily I found the silver pedestal (SPR-1660230) at Lebroc Industries/Helm Chair for $283 with free shipping vs. the black pedestal at Overton's for $369, and Overton's wouldn't ship for 12-14 business days.

What size trailer and what year do you have? I was wondering if this will work in the 2017 21'

We have a 2014 21 with u-shape dinette. Originally did not have table installed then after 18 months raised the floor 3" (for better seating comfort) and went with Springfield/Dicor slide.
Edit: I am 6'2 and Susan is 5'5". She very much benefited from the raised floor but I like it better too.

Glad you found an alternative; can remember another member (Captmath) ordering the pedestal from Helm. Like the silver better too.

You might just be a little crazy, but no need to have yourself committed this spring.

I kinda got the idea from you at the NOG you would be going bigger.

now I also am going to get rid of my 250 ford and buy a much newer 150 to tow the 5.0. Been looking at the new fords think i will get the 2.7 Eco crew cab. Not sure how long the bed needs to be I would like it as short as possible.

Kate, the bed length for towing the 5.0TA has been mentioned/discussed on the forum a few times as I recall. You can tow it with the 5.5' bed, but that will mean mounting the hitch a little further toward the rear of the bed for better clearance/turning. If I had to choose between 5.5' bed or 6.5' bed to tow a 5.0TA, I'd go with the longer one. But, if you're talking about the SuperCrew Cab, and not just the Crew Cab, that does make for a pretty long truck.

The three cab lengths for an F-150 are:
  • Regular Cab (two doors, no room for back seat)
  • SuperCab (extended, two feet longer than a Regular Cab, with a back seat, narrow rear-hinged rear doors)
  • SuperCrew® (another foot longer than a SuperCab, full front-hinged rear doors)
Ford doesn't call any cab for the F-150 just "Crew Cab". I'm pretty sure Robert knows this, and meant to say something like

I'm just clarifying the terminology.

Crew Cab, SuperCrew, all the same thing. They have four doors. No sense getting all twisted up with words. Why Ford made the move from to the other, who knows? Most likely just a marketing ploy.

Yes, those are the same: crew cab, SuperCrew... or Double Cab, or King Cab. Robert was comparing the SuperCrew with the next shorter cab - that's the SuperCab, and not a crew cab; and so the clarification.

I believe that Ford offers the SuperCab with a 6.5' and 8' bed; the SuperCrew with a 5.5' and 6.5' bed. The SuperCab with the 6.5' bed is the same overall length as the SuperCrew with a 5.5' bed.
