RM 8551 free to a good home

Recently I removed our Dometic RM 8551 from our 2014 Escape 19. I finally had enough fiddling with it at 10,000 ft. above sea level. Some nights would go fine and other nights it would fail to light 3 times and the alarm would go off. Nova Kool 4500 went in its' place. All shelves present. PM me if you want to pick it up from Laramie, Wyoming. Good for a week or so and then headed to the fridge recycle section at the land fill.

From experience, having had the brother to that model, getting rid of it was a “happy day”. The litany of problems with that line of Dometic RMx 5 Series never ceases to amaze me. Good luck finding a new home for it. In my opinion the most valuable part maybe the orafice.

It's not so much the refrigerator folks are looking to replaced with used. It's often the interior parts, like shelving, door shelves in particular and the freezer door and door latches and locks. Maybe someone has that need rather than the whole thing.

I have been postponing a thread about the experience but your picture request will motivate me to do so.

That is what I was thinking at the time but the fridge has found a new home at the land fill fridge recycling "center".
