Check out Insignia TVs. They run on 12v so you can either plug the included transformer into a 110 outlet or get a cigarette style 12v plug that goes to the tv. Power draw depends on size. 24” is 35w. Please note: this info is 5 years old from when I bought one. It’s been good on shore power or the trailer 12v system.

Insignia is a Best Buy brand.

I was looking for a smaller size (19") after I started having reception problems with the older tv in our Casita.

I settled on the ASA Jensen JTV1917DVDC, it is designed for rougher conditions than an ordinary household brand and came with the cigarette lighter adapter and also the ac adapter.

It pulls in many more over the air stations than our previous one using a King OA 1001 Omnipro roof mounted antenna.

As with most televisions in a trailer, the sound is less than desirable with an air conditioner running nearby, I use a bluetooth device plugged into the television and a bluetooth speaker.

I second that. They work well. You'll have to buy a used one if you want to run it directly from 12V, which is what I do. Very inexpensive and stand up well. So inexpensive that I bought a second one as a spare but haven't needed it.

I bought my 12v 24" TV from Walmart for <$90 and works really well. Uses cheap Bluetooth transmitter from Amazon to portable speaker for sound. It runs every night for couple to few hours and doesn't seem to really make a big difference in battery levels.

That's an interesting 12v TV + DVD player, thanks for mentioning.

Looking at the spec sheet (attached) it claims standby power consumption <1W; max power consumption 2.7A (presumably at 12VDC since that's the spec Power System).

Google hits for sources of that TV model, just FYI

Not 12V but we have a 30" Costco TV that we just plug into a small 12V inverter. Works well and uses less than 50 watts total. We mostly just connect our Chromebook to it and watch movies or shows that we've downloaded before we leave home.

We purchased this 12V Supersonic TV with built in DVD player just before we picked up our 2021 5.0 TA in Sumas: https://www.amazon.com/SuperSonic-Wi...dp/B007GFD3EW/
We use it with our King antenna and we are happy with that combination. We mainly use it for the nightly news, but we also cast to it from our laptops or watch DVD's. The locking mount is on the partial wall separating the sleeping loft and we can view either from the dinette or the bed. When traveling we leave the TV locked against the wall.

I got the same TV from Amazon. Haven't used it much; just the DVD player a few times for movies. Found that the sound was not loud enough to defeat the rain on the roof, so bought a little Bluetooth transmitter and a Bluetooth speaker, also from Amazon. Now plenty loud, and figure we'll use it on our overnights on the way to and from Virginia next week.

Mounted it on the cabinet wall facing the bed on our 21C; pics here:

Note that this TV runs on either 12v DC or 120v AC!

George, Just wondering, what TV mount are you using on your 5.0? Looks like a nice installation - have you been happy with it? Thanks!

This is the TV mount:https://www.amazon.com/Master-Mounts...dp/B000FPZLUE/
We glued and screwed 2 blocks (1x3) through the wall framing. Its plenty strong enough for most travel. For washboard or backcountry gravel roads, I'd add more support.

Today’s LED TVs have such a low wattage demand that a small inverter will power them without much loss from the conversion from 12vdc to 120vac. And as stated, they will power a laptop computer as well.

After my spouse complained about having to put up and take down the TV repeatedly, I also converted my mount from the one ETI installed to the one shown, but did not reinforce the bulkhead. Instead, I drilled a 3rd hole in the mount and used substantial sized screws (if I recall correctly, #14s) to attach it. It travels well in the locked position, and I have had no problems, even on very rough roads. My only annoyance is that it has to be moved a bit to fully open the cabinet door that it abuts on the 5.0TA. But it eliminated the ETI mount’s tendency not to sag on the outer side when deployed. It now remains parallel to the floor.

I’ve been watching for a 12v tv for our 5.0 that supports Apple airplay and can Bluetooth the audio to our sound system. So far I haven’t found what I’m looking for.

Curious about the 12V inverter which I'm assuming you're plugging into the factory 12V connectors. How many amps can you get out of these inverters running a 120V item?

It's kind of whatever you want. You can get inverters that plug into a 12V outlet. I've used 75W and 90W ones as well as 1500 and 2,000 W ones for years. You can work your way right up the scale from a few hundred watts to several thousand watts. Depends on what you have to power, size of your battery and the size of your wallet.

Not sure about Apple AirPlay compatibility, but you can purchase an inexpensive Bluetooth transmitter module from Amazon that will pair with your sound system.

Back in the day, I asked Reace about using inverters on the factory 12 vdc connectors. He told me that the wiring was inadequate to carry much more than 150 watts. However, most small TVs require far less than 100 watts. It is my understanding that most 12 vdc outlets are rated for10 amps. Essentially, they are not designed to handle a large power demand.
