1st Real Outing for Side Effect

A couple of quick notes about our quick 5 night trip.

We stayed one night at Danville Conservation Area in the very back of this 3300 acre natural area. Quiet and completely off grid on a Full Moon night. Slept like two babies.

From there we stayed 4 nights at Indian Creek COE Campground at Mark Twain Lake. Like all COE properties, very nice. We only had electric but with an overlook of the lake. Small hail one afternoon. Nothing major.

A few things that we had purchased early on that we have really come to love. The Quick-Set by Clam Screen Tent was super easy to set up and had plenty of room. The Napoleon small gas grill worked perfect and is light enough the make it simple. The Coleman Mach10 AC put out cold air and was quiet plus the heat strip worked perfectly. We bought the FlickrFire thingies and love how simple and cheap it was to have beautiful fires every night.

All of this plus 14.7 MPG. Our Escape performed flawlessly.

Very nice camp setup there, Willy. Also noticed that shine on your Escape. Beautiful.

I love my clam, I use it at festivals to host small jam sessions when the mosquitoes are bad or it’s raining.

I did have one corner fail, they sent me a repair patch that I sewed on.
