For me to fly to Texas and drive back incurs costs in airfare, hotel, fuel, food, and my time. Those all add up to a lot.

And are there really dealers selling below MSRP? How much below?

After buying the daughter's EX, I needed another car and bought a Civic Si for my wife. Same dealer, MSRP. From what I see, many punters are struggling to find a dealer (even in Texas) that will sell the Si at MSRP. Most are adding $3500 or so.

You got a deal. I was off a little; more like $80k in Spokane:

Your guidance with my shower modification is probably my favorite upgrade on the camper.

Just have to ask, what is the shower modification that is probably your favourite upgrade?

Thanks!
The link Centex posted has it on there, he’s next level, even the shower handle he choose seems to be well thought out for use with the camper.

They only help for the grey tank filling up so fast-that I know of-is dumping dishwater into the toilet.

We boondock and have yet to fill the grey tank, even after 14 days. We also wash dishes in a tub, that occupies less than half the space of our Houzer sink, and dump it in the toilet. A year ago we added six gallons to the fresh water tank and still didn't fill the grey tank after slightly more than two weeks.

We also fill the sink in the bathroom with hot water (a liter?), add one drop of body wash soap, and use a microfiber cloth to take a navy-type shower. It's amazing how clean you can get and it involves no rinsing. Neither of us are heavy sweaters though, so YMMMV.

Enjoy,

Perry

Will see if they sell for that. However I did notice they have generators that add about 7000 to the price.

I thought they were new. Advertised on the Escape and Bigfoot Facebook pages. May be mistaking for others.

Maybe mistaken advert . I had heard they were getting delivery this fall. They are certainly higher priced than other dealers. But isn’t that the deal these days. Trailer world in Denver offers good price discounts. My initial quote was nearly 10,000 off list. Still these trailers aren’t cheap, however at this point neither are Escapes. A better comparison would be a Bigfoot 21. Like I predict, the Escape 23 will be in this same price. escape trailers were a truly outstanding value when I bought, my out the door in 2017 was around 27,000 us. But these are the time we live in. Enjoy our trailers and at this time in my life at least I have more money than time left.
Still, we would have taken a hard look at the 23, but after three years of promised production we moved on. Upon delivery I’ll give my impressions then most likely delete my account here.

Does deleting your account also delete your thousand posts? I hope not; would leave holes in hundreds of threads!

Hi Oldwave!

I moderate another forum. We won't delete members posts anymore, since it really can mess with other perfectly good threads.

Thanks,

Perry

After seeing the pre-owned 17b listed at 32K I ran the numbers to see what my 2020 would cost now essentially as equipped. It's up about $10,000! That seems like a lot even with increased costs. But increased demand probably also plays a big part. I figure I've earned about $100 for each night I've spent in it. Almost everything works as original- the exception is the new stove.

I hear you there. I emailed escape and told them we wanted to go for a19 instead of the 17b. Imagine the surprise/shock we got when the very next day we received an email on the price and options increasing. Our queue number was 295 in September and now it's now 176 but they only built 48 trailers so 71 people must have jumped ship. I'll be with them shortly. I still haven't been contacted about a build sheet. 4 to 6 months out I was there before the price increase.

I can honestly say that my current E19 (my 5th Escape) is everything I have wanted and I am very happy with the unit. Now to put some miles on those almost new tires.....

Did you ever explain why you went back to a 19 after a 21? If so, can you link to the thread?

Love this. Resonate with the tires comment. Thinking it’s time to get new rubber on my 2019 rig. Original tires have ~12,000 miles on them.
Here’s to wearing out one’s tires! (Yes, that might even be a bit of metaphor… )

That's why they are a dealer and not a manufacturer. Jack up the price, THEN give a discount so the buyer feels good. Nothing car dealers haven't done for years. Remember MSRP?
