It's too bad this exchange on YouTube is buried waaaay down in the comments below a two-year-old video. I see so many people commenting there who are excited about the aluminum frame and all the "good" information they think they are getting from Slim, not getting the benefit of this information concerning the failure.
I hope that Slim gives serious consideration to Doug's expressed concerns about the repairs. I and many others share those concerns. This reminds me of a time I was behaving badly many decades ago and a friend was kind enough to intervene. As he stated it at the time, "It's hard to sit by and watch a guy throw (sand) in his own face."
