Day finally came

After a 14 month wait, 2750 mile drive dodging tornadoes winter storms we meet Dallas with ETI this morning in Sumas.
Deb and I are very pleased with everything so far and have to say Escape has been great to work with. Also want to give a big shout out to those of you on this forum, your intel on all things Escape has been invaluable through the ordering process.
Deb and I are looking forward to getting this rig all farkled out when we get home, another 2750 miles, hopefully with better weather.
See y’all down the road.
I’d post a pic if I could, trailer is a 21 C

Awesome & congratulations!!

Do you like shrimp?

Seriously, where to next & have a great trip home! Always feel for those that for whatever reason cannot experience Bob's Burgers parking lot in Sumas.

We ate their earlier this month when picking up our 21NE. They are doing construction so the seating was all in the bar area. We got takeout and ate in the trailer. Wife and i had bacon burgers and they were both pretty good. Kids had chicken strips and a grilled cheese. Chicken strips looked dry but grilled cheese was fantastic. Fries and onion rings were pretty good too. Kinda expensive over all but everything is these days.

The question was asked if Bob's burgers had good food the answer is yes. There a small chain of about six locations they all have a bar section and a family eating section. Good large menu staff is well trained in the cooks know how to cook. Can't answer your question as to the bar I don't drink but it was always crowded and people seemed happy. my happy days coming the first or second week in August. Just remember if you go up there be sure and stop at the Abilene dairy just remember you will become addicted to their ice cream. It's that good!!

Didn’t eat at Bob’s, by then we were ready to stock up on groceries and enjoy some home cooking now that we had a refrigerator.
7Gentex, yes long time GS rider, now on an Africa Twin. I noticed in some earlier posts that you may be a rider as well? You might have met an old buddy of mine from Austin, Sonny Johns? Unfortunately Sonny died 3 years ago but man, we had some fun ripping up the hill country.

LtDan

Nice bike and great choice of trailer - 21C

Taking a "break" from riding at the moment, last steed was an ST1300. 30k of multi-state tent camping on that. Had a Motocross upbringing in the early 1970's

Did not know Sonny, sorry to hear.

The Hill Country is crazy crowded compared to the 80's/90's/00's....duh!

Twisted sisters and Lime Creek Rd (too crowded for me now...)

Yeah, guess I'm old

Alf, we live almost next door to the KOA, that’s what got us started on fiberglass campers, walking over and looking at them when the met up there.
7Gentex, I motocrossed as well, in the mid to late 70’s, Ah, good times! Willow City loop was one of my favorites in the Hill country.
