I had a couple come by to see our trailer today and one of the first comments was that they liked our Dicor slide table. Then I told them that they were no longer available.
Is there any news about availability for these?

An email from mfg 5/5/2017; anyone do import/export?
Dicor Slider is a misnomer as they are made in Italy.
Good morning Mr. ROSSUE
Thank you for your e-mail.
Till the moment we have no other distributor in USA …
We would be so glad to find some others companies interested in our products.
We sell only to manufacturers and distributors, no retail trade.
Best regards,
a.giraldo@stla.it

Isn't Escape a manufacturer? Has anyone asked if Rease would be interested in importing them? He could add it as an option and make a killing in aftermarket based in the interest so far.

Would think Ducan Industries in Alberta-the mfg/distributor ETI uses for mattresses and other items would be better with their scale.
For some reason Dicor couldn't sell it to their wholesale trade and tried to sell off their stock retail. Any of us who bought from them knows they loathed that and finally found a truck camper mfg in Bend to buy the rest of their stock.
The niche seems to be smaller RV's- like the truck campers and smaller TT's. How about Little House of Customs...anybody have a rapport with the owner to lobby him?

That would have worked a year or more ago, but Larry Gamble retired from 'Casita mods' and just about everything else last November (Good for him!). All Little House Custom 'work' now is being done by 'The Perfect Casita'... NOT the brand.. Casita means "little house." Some web preferences are taking Google individuals to "Little Home On The Road" same company, different URL.

Hello All ,
I'm in the wholesale side of the office furniture industry and we import products mostly from Taiwan, one item from China so maybe I could do this, happy to ask my partners about it.
Also our main supplier is a metal bender so maybe this is something he could actually make himself if no longer available from original source.
Lets see what the response is from my post and we can take it from there.
Enjoy the journey,
Steve

Yes, but maybe we'd better wait to see if importing is going to be possible. And maybe cost too?

Hello All,
OK I just sent an email to the address in this thread, here is the email I sent:
Hello,
I hope this email finds you well. I believe you have been contacted by a few Escape Trailer owners that are interested in you part #15348/1. table slide. I understand part of the problem in getting them here in the US is there is not a distributor for them here and you do not do any retail sales. I own a company in the wholesale office furniture industry and we currently import product from, Taiwan, Brazil and China, so I have an imports license, that being said is this a product we could order? If so would there be a minimum quantity required to order and if so what would that quantity be? Also cost for the product, would that change based on quantity? Can you provide me what that cost would be?
BIG THANKS in advance and look forward to your response.
Lets see what kind of response I get, I'll be sure to keep everyone posted.
Enjoy the journey.
Steve

Heard back from someone
Hello All,
I received an email response on this today, seems as though one company sold to another and the distribution has changed, here is the email:
My name is Stephan Dolzan. I am the product manager for St.La in North America. Lippert Components recently purchased St.La, so we will not be handling distribution in the US. We can look at generating a quote for your needs based on estimated usage. Right now this particular product is not in stock in the US. We are importing other product from St.La so it would not be a problem to add this to the import list, stock it if necessary, and begin supplying you. If this sounds agreeable to you, we can begin to make the next steps. I believe the MOQ is 10.
OK he did give me a price in the email but I know my partners are not going to want to do this for free so if I told you they were $150.00 plus shipping from Atlanta GA would that be something that would be workable?
Let me know what everyone thinks.
Steve

What exactly is a Dicor table? What is so special about them?

It allows you to move the dinette table in four directions vs. two.

$150 is a great price; am thinking I paid Dicor $138 + shipping four years ago.
IMO the 4 way slide works best with a U dinette size table or smaller(23" minimum depth). The standard dinette tables are a bit heavy and due to extended depth one loses some advantage of utilizing the 4 way motion capability.

CP I hope your question was answered on why. I was just trying to help some fellow Escape owners , we don't have the U shape dinette so I really don't see a need for one but still happy to help others. I need at least 10 yes's for there minimum quantity plus guess best way to get money would be through Paypal if that would work for everybody.
I do not like the standard way Escape does this and to be honest a little surprised this is not an area they offer an optional upgrade unless you provide it. I can cut tops so I just made a 22" x 31" top that I will just mount to the back single post and see how that works for now, least expensive starting point to get us some more room to lounge.
Enjoy the journey.

I understand, need to use the side to side for awhile, my first "U" was front to back, did not like that.
