Door
At night, do you sleep with the door open or closed?
When and why?

Since we travel with 2 dogs, closed, but if one person is outside, then nap time with door open.

Rarely do we have the door open. It has nothing to do with security, as it is never locked anyway, but if it is hot enough, we like to sleep with the window over our head open somewhat, and with the Maax Fan on low, it draws a nice cool breeze across our heads.

I believe that we have always kept the door shut at night. Even this summer when camping out in the deserts of Utah we relied on ventilation from the windows and Max Fan when there was no 120V for the AC. My daughter usually complained that the trailer was too cold with the AC on. I liked it, but it is kind of like sleeping with a freight train next to your ear.

We keep the door closed to keep our dogs in.

I guess I never really thought about this. For twelve years, the Scamp door was always closed and locked. Now in Ten Forward I have three vents in the ceiling.
Safety issue, haven't really considered that. More habit than anything (big city dweller).

Option of locking the door was one of the first things I thought about that would be really different when we changed from tent camping to an Escape. Only option with the tent was to zip the door closed and never thought any further about it.
With a trailer I began to wonder? We always shut the door at night and sometimes lock it. I have yet to feel insecure with an unlocked door but you never know!

Closed, gotta keep the dog in.
Unlocked, if a 130# Newf doesn't stop you, a lock won't either.
