Entry Door Window Question 2016 17b

Recently purchased a used 17b. Have a question about the window in the entry door. There is quite a bit of space between the window glass and the inner door frame. Is there something missing that goes in this space or is that how they come from the factory ? Photos clear up my question. Thanks.

Nope, nothing is missing. But since it's single glazed and there is that empty space I took the opportunity to fit a piece of lexan there to provide an inner storm window. We sometimes are in cold areas.

Also that obscure window is made with a vinyl overlay. It's easy to remove if you'd rather be able to see out that window. We do and removed it.
