Here, I scooped all the suggestions and put them into the font Escape uses. Maybe the visual will help.

That was a good idea Donna. What caught my eye was, the font makes the 5TA looks like STA. What is a STA? Would a hyphen help? 5-TA I do not like underscores as on the occasion that something is underlined the underscore disappears and becomes unrecognizable.
It has been said words are better than alpha/numeric. I agree with that observation. With that I would vote for Escape 5.0 Tandem, using a space. It can still be abbreviated TA for those who so choose.

I thought the same too. I like the idea of just a space better than a hyphen.
5 TA
5.0 TA
or just
5.0 T
The A is not really needed. Keep it simple, with just a single letter designating the difference.
That's it then, my new favourite, the Escape 5.0 T.

As I watch this bounce around, I come back to leaving it alone - "Escape 5.0"; it's a replacement. If changed, I favor "Escape 5.0 T". Though "Escape Dream" fits my reality!

5.0 T...We could use that name to our advantage down here in Texas.

It looks as slick as one so why not? I would like either one.
Escape 5.0 T (Tandem)
or
Ford 5.0 T (Turbo)

I'm for 5TA short and simple.
If somebody asks what STA stands for you can tell them "Sweet Tandem Axle" or "Super Tandem Axle".

Either 5.1 because it is the revised version of the 5.0
Or 5.0 because it's clever and if you can't tell them apart, you should not be driving. (And in written descriptions you can always add SA or TA to differentiate them.)

5T is even shorter and simpler. The A is not really needed, eh!
I had thought of this too, but I kinda like playing on the already well known and loved 5.0, by just adding the T for tandem.

Really like the 5.0 name , would lie to see that continued somehow. How about something catchy, 5.0 Deuce - covers that it has a tandem axle and is also the second variation.
