I am late to this thread and would love to post a picture of my little RV quilt but can't for the life of me figure out how to attach a photo - ugh! How do you attach a picture from a iPhoto Library on the computer? Anyone??

After you click quick reply, click go advanced, and then you will get an option to manage attachments which may open another small window where you can upload the pics.

My batting arrives today so I'm going to try it out- quilt a couple of trial bits and wash one hot, one cold, etc. See what works.

I think I have it - you have to go to the advanced option on the comments. Anyway, here is a picture of the quilt I made for our Escape 19. When we purchased this gently used trailer we were SO happy with the interior fabrics and finishes chosen by the previous owners. I took the cushions to my favourite fabric store and made up this nine patch and rails (with my signature tree of life block). It was fun using some of the scraps to make a quilted wall hanging as well. Have fun choosing and making your bedding. Being "The Quilt Lady" I would love to see your completed project and any other wonderful quilting you've done. LOVE quilts!!!!!
Thanks Bobbie54 for your help - who knew it would be so complicated - eek.

Very nice- and I'm impressed you can get it to lie so flat on a bed that is tucked up in a trailer.

Here's a recent quilt I made.
I use wool batting most of the time too. I like the loft and lightweight feel. It breathes well so you don't get overheated. 2nd choice is 100%cotton batting. I'm working on a quilt for my trailer. ..pics to follow when it's done!

I set up my trial. I quilted a piece with cotton and one with wool, cut each into three strips, and labeled them. Machine warm, machine cold, hand (lukewarm). Machine warm is going, hand is washed and lying flat to dry (though how to do that with an actual quilt I don't know), machine cold is waiting. I just did diagonals on the quilt and like how that looks. Both were easy to quilt, maybe a bit easier with the cotton, but I didn't have my walking foot on for either.

Thanks for motivating me to get this made! I can't show you on the trailer bed as the trailer is in winter storage, but I have mostly finished the bed covering. Backed in fleece, and the person who mentioned it picking up dog hair- yep, I'm sure it will! Top doesn't, though. I have a bit of handwork and thread snipping to do but it's mostly done. I want to make a couple of bolster-bags to store bedding in out of some of the leftover floral denim.

Looks really great! I don't think there is a such thing as a quilt that I don't love :-)

My trailer is back home so I tried the quilt on the bed. Perfect! I made a couple of stuff sacks to match for my regular sleeping quilt and other bedding. I can't wait to go camping!
