We have the Springfield in the 5.0 along with the wrap around dinette. Getting in and out of the dinette can be difficult. I hate the fact I cannot lock down the table. It always slides a little. I don't mind the smaller table.
There is no way to play a guitar, that you care about, with the Springfield table in the dinette area. I am relegated to the stairs.
But even when using my computer or surfing the news, it's cramped in the dinette. I still like it, but I want the Lagun table. I may switch but not any time soon.

We swapped out the twin standard poles for a Springfield about a month ago. We travel as a family and the front dinette coverts to a bed nightly. We also travel with the table down. The Springfield works so much better for us! The plastic sliders that come with the table will be the next thing I swap out. I can see the appeal of the Lagun but for us the Springfield wins for the easy of turning the dinette into a bed

Our thoughts exactly. Did reinstall the plastic slides but someday want to change to metal. Our table is pretty stable because I did cut some off on front to back . Still makes into a bed , more stable and will completely turn around If needed .
Have played around in new trailers with the Lagun and really prefer the Springfield for our needs . It needs to make into a bed every night . Pat

I love these reoccurring threads. My conclusion from all the previous posts and threads is:
Springfield: favored by those who want a full size table and the easy ability to use it for the bed.
Lagun: favored by those who see the dinette area as an area to lounge and probably have a "U" shaped dinette.
Might be wrong but that's what it looks like to me. At least there's no wrong answer, folks get to choose what matches their life style.

Our table is smaller , cut 10 in off so it is very stable now and easier to get in . Centered on the Springfield when it was installed . Pat

🤔 just to be clear we have the Lagun and use a full size table. To convert to bed takes only a minute. But you’re absolutely right, 1 size doesn’t fit all.

I have no trouble locking down the Springfield when needed. I lock the slides when up only.
If I push the table to one side there is lots of room for playing guitar. That said, I pretty much only play outside. The placement of our pedestal allows lots of foot room, even for 4 adults. I only have size 10 1/2 shoes though.

How do you lock the slides? Did I miss a mod somewhere?
I would like to stop my table from sliding at times.
I can lock them in the down position for traveling, which I do every time. But I cannot stop them from sliding in their track.

With the Lagun, does the table attach directly to the Lagun? As in no slider mechanism?

Jim has the Dicor 4 Way slide as we do. It has lock latches on both axis(2 on the front to back and one side to side).

I bought the Dicor 4-way slide which has camlocks.
With good handyman skills something similar could be made.

My install is directly to table, really don't see need for slide of any type. Table rotates 360 degrees and you can pivot in either direction. For larger size individuals, maybe slide would be useful.

Are there any off the shelf products that do what the Dicor 4 Way slide did?
I think if I was going to build one, I would just go with the Lagun setup. But it looks like it would solve the shortcomings of the Springfield design (IMHO), namely I can't get the table out of my way.
I still like the table but it is a little unstable even when tightened down. Maybe I should give this some thought. It would be nice to keep it from moving.
