Standard Jack and the tailgate on my Ram 1500 can open all the way IF I rotate the crank arm up.

We have had a Jack-E-Up for about six years. It solves the problem, and when I put it in storage next week, I'll remove the jack and store it in the garage for the winter. I knew that eventually I was going to drop the tail gate on the jack...

I have a 21NE, towing with an F150, Pro series WDH, and electric jack. I had to turn the jack sideways, as shown by Angie Sipe in the video, to get my tailgate to clear. It has about 2" clearance now.

Ford, in 2018 i think made their tailgate stick out by about 6 inches in the middle area for some reason. |

I have a 2017 Ram 1500 and a manual jack. My ball mount is 12" from pin to ball. I couldn't open the tailgate all the way with the original coupler, but can now that I have a Bulldog coupler.

We have the electric jack on our 19’ & rotated the head so tailgate opens. Also rotated the propane regulator assembly & tanks so it faces to the rear. More room to access the lever on the regulator was achieved.

I have a 2017 Silverado. I do not need a WDH with my 17B. I replaced my manual jack with a power jack, it’s a bit bigger. I purchased an extended drawbar, measured the required clearance I needed and drilled a new hole for the pin. All works well for me.
