I’ll build a false floor too, but It still will have propane lines in two different spaces and will be a lot more than 1/4” tall to clear everything.

Interesting, must be a difference between Gen 1 and Gen 2. Just one propane line in the Gen 1. Are you also opening up the space to the left?

Reminds me of the fridge-button guard that Little House Customs used to sell (maybe still?) for the Casita fridge. The narrow hallway made it likely you'd turn it off by accident.
Does not seem to be a problem with our E21C fridge.

The bath is to the right and there is already a cabinet to the left.

Okay, since we leave fairly soon and I have other work to do, here’s the quick finish work on opening the space under the furnace with the before and after picture. I might finish it nicer later, but for now, this will get us down the road. I had to deal with 5 wires and 2 propane hoes. The wires and one hose came up in the middle of what is now the floor. The propane detector will be moved in the next few days.
On the right of the finished space is the fiberglass bath enclosure covered with maple contact paper. When I have more time, I might veneer it. I screwed the false floor together so it would fit through the opening.

You definitely had more to deal with than I did, but nice job tidying it up.
I relocated the propane detector near the floor in front of the sink with spade terminals for easy disconnect.

Looking at it yesterday, my best spot will be near the floor below the oven cabinet for the switch and propane detector. It’s tight working to pull the wire, but it has the best access. I might just connect with WAGO’s because we know it will have to be replaced someday.
Stove top is Dickinson and oven is the micro / convection combo.

While rebuilding the PS dinette bench access, Barb mentioned it was hard to see what she was trying to get when using the end door access. So, now she has a light. I still need to finish the switch and wiring protection, but it’s basically done.

ETI said my paneling would not be glued, but all the paneling in my trailer has been. I’ve used a multi tool to get the paneling free from the framing when working on things. Dustin confirmed today it would be PL, and it sure looks and acts like it. It’s definitely not just pull a few staples. Getting closer to being able to actually replace the USB outlet.

Looked at rebuilding under the kitchen wheel well cabinets after a basketball game. I’ll have to add some blocking and use three pieces to get the paneling to fit through the openings in the cabinet. I’ll make it all removable so plumbing and electrical access will be easier next time. Found a blunt end 12V ground wire just laying in the wheel well when I measured to rebuild.

New USB outlet in. Electrical and water lines reconnected. Blocking and paneling back in. If I had known what was involved, I would not have fixed the USB, but it does now charge my i devices. Propane alarm moved. Ladder fit on rear bumper and second sewer hose tube added. Getting closer to departure.

Quit messing with it...
And git' out of Dodge, before the next weather front moves in and slows things down for you all.
Trifles! The lot of them.
Unless you're OCD.
Bon voyage,

Snow forecasted for the day we planned to leave. If it holds, we’ll leave early.

What kind of ladder is that? It looks super convenient.
FYI, your ambitious efforts are making me look lazy.

I’d have to look up the specific one I have, but it’s a 7’ stick ladder. It’s a double sided step ladder. One fact, the steps are narrow, so you don’t want it to be your all day ladder, but it’s great for travel. I have a telescoping 8’ step ladder too, but wanted it out of the truck bed because I want to carry the generator until I get the furnace reliable.

That ladder can be stored in a 5" square PVC fence post. I believe I got this idea from John in Santa Cruz's post about that ladder and the PVC fence post to carry it in. See the 5" square tube forward of the sewer tube in this picture.

Randy,
We have only traveled during the spring to fall seasons, hence, my question. Since you are leaving the cold mid-west for the warmer AZ climate, I assume to will start out with no fresh water and dry water lines until you get to Phoenix or Quartzsite and then get water? After your travels in southern AZ, do you plan to winterize your trailer via carrying a generator & compressor while it is still above freezing before heading back to KS?
thanks

We run full fresh and empty black and gray. Sloshing water at 30-35 forecasted in the day, and heat at the campsite. I don’t worry about it. If it got cold enough, I would run with furnace, or dump the fresh and use a jerry jug. Right now the forecast is 13 / 28F the day we leave here and 40/20 F where we are headed, so I’ll fill it, and run on the morning’s heat. It will be above freezing most of the driving day, and then plan on electricity the first night. The next day our camping plan gets us 51/31F. We will leave early if the weather dictates it’s needed. We will not be in Quartzite until almost a month into the trip. We will watch the weather and plan water accordingly, but we’ve never had to dry camp yet; although, we have come close. A good bit of the trip is boondocking, but if it gets really cold, and it shouldn’t as far south as we are going, I’ll find some nightly electricity to keep the water flowing. We have no problem keeping plumbing going down to 10F as long as we can keep the batteries up. I’ll take a generator just in case. I don’t always do that. I have a 2002 Honda EU200i.
We won’t be back until the end of March. It could still be below freezing here then, but it won’t be a hard freeze or a problem.
