Service Company Needed

Does anyone in northeastern Illinois know of a shop in the area that they would trust to swap out my old S2D2 with the new Dometic I purchased from Escape? Countertop cutting will be required.
I have a 19.

Not that many shops here and would also be good to establish a relationship with a good local shop.

Thanks!

Thanks for your encouragement! I may just have to do that myself.

Here are some pointer from my experience... I'm no professional
shut off gas and battery power master switch
remove gaz line plastic clamp 2 and undo the gaz line connection with 2 wrench (one holding the brass bloc an the other the nut)
remove electric line clamp for ignition 2 and undo 2 screw at connection of stove
remove old stove by losing 4 screw in the for corner

1- Watch Escape video on the topic
2- do as the video for measurement
3- before cutting revise measurement by stove instruction
4- cut
5- clean
6- find 1 scrap piece of wood (around 1/4 to 3/8 large by 3/4 thick by around 14 inch long
7- cut piece of wood the length on one side measurement
dry fit the new stove and adjust
8- glue piece of wood with carpenter glue and 4 finish nail 1 1/2 long

wait t'il dry

connect the electric 12 v to new stove. Instead of bending the bottom plate I unscrew the 2 screw from the burner that gave me the access and reinstalled 2 screw. Place stove on counter up side down

instal stove
screw the stove (I did nor use the metal corner).

Screw the propane connection (dry fit).

Open propane and smell connection. If good you can use soap and water tom see bubble.... at connection. If good....

Light the stove

Thanks so much for the added tips! I'm relatively handy but it's so helpful to have all the specifics in advance, particularly those that were only generally referenced in the Escape video.

Glad your install went well!
