5.0 Loft Steps

Under the hinged top step ,we store a pop-up shower tent, and a large folding solar panel. They are held in place by small wooden lips at the bottom (2 of them, spaced apart as the panel is wide), and a bungee attached to eye hooks at the top.

It works very well for us.

No, not really. The top of the top step coincides closely with the top of the propane tank storage space, a space which is and must remain isolated / sealed from the trailer interior for safety in case of propane leaks in that tank storage area (it has a bottom vent to exterior for the heavier-than-air propane).

The 5.0 front cargo space (above the propane tank space) aligns above the top of the top loft-step. It coincides with the tall 'riser face' between the top step and the loft floor.

I initially planned to store folding chairs there (didn't premeasure and the one I have would have been too tall).

BUT, it was the perfect storage area for my rear bench extension.

Did you source the material from ETI?

No, when we purchased we had only one choice in fabric, we supplied the fabric to ETI for our build. We had left over fabric for this project.

When we picked up our trailer I asked for extra carpet for the step mod. It would be almost impossible to salvage the carpet on the step we modified.
