SOK new

I just received my S OK battery what is the best way to discharge it or does it matter? I am totally a lithium rookie. Still have to do an install with all the extra gizmos and gadgets. Thank you advance. Safe travels.

Hi Grasshog. I am new to the forum and am doing a lot of reading and searching to prepare for my E19 being shipped to me in March. My trailer is lithium ready and I recently ordered a SOK 280 Ah battery. So, I searched the forum and came upon your 2 posts about SOK batteries. I was wondering how your installation went?

We have a 230 amp hour Li Time LiFePO4 which I discharge to 57% SOC for storage by running the fridge on DC off the battery. Recently on the final 2 days of travel coming off a trip we started the trip home at 100% SOC as indicated by a Victron Smartshunt. We traveled with the battery connected to the system but with solar and tow vehicle alternator charging turned off. We ran the fridge on gas while traveling as well as some furnace during enroute meals and lighting till we got home. SOC on arrival home was 90% so I discharged down to 57% SOC with the fridge on DC.
