19'er - Floor Dimensions for Sizing Rug
We have a 2018 19'er, which is in very inconvenient winter hibernation. And we'd like size the floor in anticipation to getting a rug for it for the upcoming season.
If your 19'er is really convenient, would you be to kind as to measure the width of the floor at its narrowest (I believe the bathroom sticks out a bit farther than the refrigerator) and length from the under bed cabinet doors to the table pedestal base.
Thank you, in advance for you help

Hmmm...I have a first generation 19, so the details ma vary, but let me tell you my experience putting a rug in mine.
I decided to use a sheet of BedRug because I had some left over from lining the bed of my truck and really like the stuff. Durable, good insulating properties, easy to work with. The problem I encountered was with the trailer itself. Turns out that the walls and cabinetry on opposite sides of the trailer are not parallel with each other, and different sections are skewed in different directions. Not by a lot, but as much as two inches over 6 feet of length.
Unless you are going to make your rug a dimensional a throw rug with space all around and not a wall to wall carpet butting up to the walls, I strongly suggest you wait until you can measure the fit in your own trailer to insure a proper fit.
I have no idea why everything is not built square, but I guess that comes with the fact that each trailer is literally a custom build, but that is the way it came out in my case. With careful measuring at every angle, my project worked out very well for me, but if I had depended on just measuring lengths and widths and cut at right angles, the pieces would not have fit and I would have been a very unhappy camper.
With the ten years of experience the company had between my trailer and yours, perhaps you won't have a problem, but I'd recommend you measure your own trailer and not trust the measurements from another trailer before you start buying and cutting material. That may delay your project, but you will likely have more satisfactory results!

I don’t have a pedestal, so can’t get an accurate measure for you either.

Spot on
George is very correct in his observations. I made a pattern using some cardboard to cut some foam flooring. Small pieces fitted and then taped to a bigger piece to get the shape and dimensions.
You're much better off waiting until hibernation is over.

We just planning to replace a runner. Not put in wall to wall carpeting.

If you go to the Escape 19 website you can piece together rough enough measurements for a runner. The kitchen cupboards are 48" and the dinette table is 42". The pedestal is likely in the centre of the table.
Our 19 has the raised dinette and a 6' runner fit perfectly running from the bed to the edge of the raised dinette.

The one I have in there just fits and its 96"Lx253/4" wide
the narrow part from bath to bench is 26" and from bed to ped its 961/2"
If you can try to find one with a rubber backer. I havent had any luck in that size with a backer and sometimes it slides.

Thank you!
Under rugs that slide, we tend to place that rubbery mat type stuff which is primarily sold to line cabinets & drawers. It seems to hold rugs in place fairly well.
Thank you again!
