Adjusting the Pentair water pump

Our 5 day old 5.0 had a problem with the water pump running constantly. I watched Reese's video on how to adjust and read several threads here. All very helpful, I have gotten the pump to stop running constantly.

The only question remaining is how often should the pump cycle? I have backed off the screw such that the pump will run constantly when the kitchen faucet is on full. And it shuts off as soon I shut off the faucet. But on less than full on, the pump will cycle frequently. Is that correct or have I backed it out a little too far?

That's pretty much how all our campers pumps have run. There seems to be a happy medium where the pump puts out too much pressure and not enough. If you want it to run less, but not on and off all the time, install a pressure tank.

Enjoy,

Perry
