Adjustment needed for E2 Fastaway Sway Bars

Looking at my trailer today, I noticed that the L brackets that hold the sway bars in our E2 Fastaway sway weight distribution hitch that Escape installed for us at pickup are no longer perpendicular and have moved forward towards our truck. I have not yet noticed a difference towing but I am concerned. What do you recommend I do to remedy this? We have a cross country trip planned for April.

It appears to be out of adjustment, needs to be repositioned and tightened....

Yes, you should get the bracket back into a perpendicular orientation to the frame. Just loosen the mounting bolts a bit, align the bracket and re-tighten bolts (Fastway instructions https://www.fastwaytrailer.com/pdf/F...l-2020-sep.pdf).

Take it for a trip around the block to verify proper fit/function and start planning your trip.

And if, after following manufacturer instructions, it still does not work, try this:

This solution has worked for me for three years and over 20k miles.

Are the link plates installed with the bolts through the proper holes for 4” frame? If they are it should be nearly impossible for the bracket to get to that angle.
