Black tank leaking

Black tank leaks when it sits. When I take the cap off, we get some Black water run off, about 3 cups worth. We only use the Bathroom to urinate, or else it would be worse! Any solutions? Thanks FYI it is a 2023 5.0 that we picked up in May

I had a similar problem when we picked up our 5.0 a few years ago. Once the tank is empty, take a garden hose with a small spray handle and stick it in pointing to the black valve/pipe and give it a good long spray, opening and closing the valve handle several times. This did the trick for us, likely a little debris in the tank from construction that was hanging up around the gate valve and keeping it from fully closing and sealing. Others have also had some success with spraying a dry silicon lube on the valve. Not always a surefire solution but worth a try.

We have been having the same issue on a 2023 21C that we picked up in May as well. Going to try the silicon lube the next time I empty and flush with clean water.

Let us know how you resolve this if you can!

Same issue here, on our 2022 21C. David's trick with using the garden hose sprayer worked for us.
