The first step in leveling any RV trailer is to get it level on its wheels. This means you need to use blocks, ramps, or crescent type levelers.

Once the trailer is level on the wheels, you then get it level front to back with the tongue jack (ball pull) or landing gear (5th wheel).

You don't lift the trailer side to side with stabilizers or landing gear. The frame is not designed for that kind of load.

No, because the landing gear jacks are just at one end of the trailer, so if you try that you will twist the frame and body of the trailer. You could do this if you also had suitable jacks in the rear and you used the jacks in coordinated pairs (this is how power leveling systems work), but the Escape's rear jacks are not powered and not suitable for extending under load as this procedure would require.
